Louis P. DeLaura II is a registered architect who earned his undergraduate degree from Columbia University. He pursued graduate studies in historic preservation at Columbia’s School of Architecture and Planning while also researching building histories for the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. He received his Masters of Architecture degree from Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he was a faculty member for 15 years until moving with his late wife and 6 children and all their earthly possessions to the hills of Virginia in 2004. He has been editing films with his daughter, Nichole, since first handing her a camera.
